I was the server or in one of the many other hospitality industry jobs; I was a student; I was, and still am, a teacher who lives paycheck to paycheck. While traveling seems unattainable, I make it a priority.

Originally from the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia, I followed my aspirations and heart to Spain.

I’ve managed to blend my two biggest passions: teaching and travel. Now, you can find me living my dream in Spain with my partner and our adorable fur baby.

Having explored over 31 countries (and counting!), I’m always on the lookout for the next adventure and cultural experience. Life is full of wonder, and I’m a bit of a wanderer.

I know Central America is considered part of the North American continent, but I hold some bias as I was born here and believe it deserves its own category. I’ve explored this region through multiple cruise adventures and hope to return to Panama shortly, my birthplace due to my parents’ time in the military. Stay tuned!

The region of Oceania encompasses not just Australia (the continent and country) but many other amazing countries with diverse cultures. I’ve only ventured to two places in the region but hope to explore more.

I used to be a certified scuba diver. While health issues no longer allow me to dive, the various islands of this region are on my list to snorkel at the least!

  • Country = Age: I attempt to keep the number of countries I’ve visited at or above my age! (Covid did not help this goal but I’m catching up)
  • Ringing in the New Year Experience: I try to spend New Year in a different city every other year! I’m thinking
  • Irish Pubs: I have a tradition of visiting an Irish pub in every destination I explore. Why? For several reasons: (1) they feel like home, (2) I worked in one when I was younger and love the energy and people, and (3) I met my partner in an Irish pub. It’s just something we do!
